Let’s have a simple example. Imagine if someone who is studying in a university suddenly decides to stop studying and start his own small business. What will you think of him? Well, most people will just think he’s good for nothing since he cannot even finish his degree. He’s just another loser who wants to give up halfway. Hmm, but some of the world’s famous people actually achieved greatness because they gave up on their education. How’s that for a change?

I know it’s still hard to accept that giving up = good, especially in our culture. Teachers told students not to give up. Parents told their children never to give up something halfway. And everywhere you go, it’s the same old “don’t give up”…..and also the hidden message behind it – “give up and you’re a loser”.

But hey, look here. Giving up DOES NOT mean you are a loser. But if you are giving up on something you are passionate about, then I myself will call you a loser.

And believe me, sometimes, giving up on something could be the best decision ever made. You just have to be brave enough to call it quit. Remember that time waits for nobody. The longer you are stuck in something, the lesser time you have to explore other opportunities. So be brave, and give up on things that just don’t work.

p/s…… if you still don’t want to give up on something, you can try to use a different approach to things. Just keep in mind that if there comes a time for you to give up, just do it! Nobody has the rights to call you a loser because you are not.
