Well, you sure are a patient guy if you held out for three years! My feeling is, usually, if you don’t hit it off with a girl quite quickly, it’s never going to happen. And if you fall into the ‘friend’ trap, then it’s definitely never going to happen!
But, one cannot always tell our heart what to do! Anyway, good thing you had given up before. But I guess the final dissolution of hope always hurts…
On the other hand – you’re completely free now! Enjoy!
