Another petrol price drop for Malaysians in October!
Guess this is going to be a big Raya gift for everyone. Our government has just announced that the petrol price may drop again in October, before Raya.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said if world market prices for fuel remained stable at US$109 for the rest of the year, Malaysians might even enjoy a 15 sen drop below the current rate of RM2.55.
“We will have to wait until the pump prices are revised come Oct 1 or by the middle of that month under our calculation formula.
“If world prices remain at US$109 per barrel until the end of the year, we can reduce prices by another 15 sen.
Rest assure. The experts are actually estimate an average of US$80-110 by the end of the year. The hurricane Gustav has hit the US but the price has not gone up. This shows that the world still has a lottttttttt of crude oil.
This is indeed a very good news for all. The issue now is…how much would the cut be. Will 15 sen be enough? For me…well, it’s better than nothing.

Mmm, but my guess is, no matter how much the international crude oil price would drop to……our gov will not give a big reduction. Maybe they’re afraid that after their reduction, the price will shoot up again.

Yea, 15 cents indeed better than nothing. It might make a lot of difference for certain people.
